Following on from its new Museum and Hôtel des Horlogers, currently under construction in Le Brassus, Vallée-de-Joux, Audemars Piguet has launched a third building project. Earlier this month, the company’s directors laid the first stone for the new Manufacture at the Saignoles industrial zone in Le Locle, Neuchâtel.

The new Manufacture will consist of a discreet one-storey building, inscribed in the topography of the surrounding Saignoles hills. The place will be surrounded by a succession of spaces integrating the different biotopes of the local landscape. Released from fossil fuels, this new building meets the requirements of the Swiss Minergie label.

The Manufacture has been designed to minimize silo operation and ensure interconnected workflows, while promoting creativity, flexibility and communication. The layout of the Manufacture will be partly modular in order to serve the changing needs of employees and the multidisciplinary methods of teamwork. This choice anticipates the increasingly central role of project management at Audemars Piguet.
