Rudis Sylva
Rudis Sylva came about in 2006. Its name, from the original Latin name of Les Bois, a village in the Swiss Jura mountains, was chosen by the three founders in recognition of the region's long history of watchmaking. They were determined this expertise should continue to thrive in exceptional mechanical watches whose components are locally made. The brand rose to prominence for its invention of the Harmonious Oscillator, a system with two mechanically coupled balances that compensate for the effects of gravity on the movement in a vertical position.
