For its 50th anniversary, the Grand Seiko makes its entry in the United States

Probably what comes to mind when thinking about a Seiko watch is an inexpensive quartz timepiece that has great functionality but doesn’t possess the fine mechanics comparable to those found in a Swiss or German model. Seiko aims to change this view, and after 60 years has decided to introduce Grand Seiko mechanical watches into the United States, presented in November at AZ Fine Time, their retailer in Arizona.
